The Afro-Tech Girls Laptop Scholarship 2026 is now open for applications! This empowering initiative, launched as part of the International Women’s Day 2026 celebrations, aims to bridge the digital divide for talented African women in STEM by providing high-performance laptops.
Organised by Afro-Tech Girls—a non-profit dedicated to increasing female participation in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics—this scholarship awards 20 high-end laptops to deserving recipients. These laptops will enable selected women to pursue technical learning, build impactful projects, develop essential skills, and access global tech opportunities without hardware limitations.
Why This Scholarship Matters
Many talented young women in Africa face significant barriers to entering or advancing in tech careers due to a lack of access to a personal laptop.
