Scholarship Program

Sheffield Hallam University is offering Transform Together Scholarships for high-achieving international (non-UK) students starting full-time taught undergraduate or postgraduate courses in the 2026/2027 academic year (mainly September 2026 entry).

These competitive scholarships reward excellence and help transform your future while contributing to the university community.

Scholarship Benefits

  • 50% tuition fee waiver (half-fee discount) for the first year of study.
    • Undergraduate: Applied in Year 1 (you must complete each year to continue on the course).
    • Postgraduate: Applied in the first year of your taught course.
  • Successful scholars receive recognition for their achievement and are expected to act as university ambassadors during their studies and after graduation.
  • Note: The scholarship is a fee reduction only (no cash alternative). It is non-transferable, non-deferrable, and you can receive only one scholarship or discount per course (the highest value applies if eligible for multiple).

Who Can Apply? (Eligibility Criteria)

You must meet all of the following:

  • Be an international or European Union (non-UK) fee-paying student.
  • Have received and accepted a conditional or unconditional offer for a full-time taught undergraduate or postgraduate course at Sheffield Hallam University (starting September 2026).
  • Be fully self-funding your studies (not receiving full or partial funding from a sponsor, government, employer, or other scholarship provider).
  • Meet the English language and academic entry requirements for your chosen course.
  • For postgraduate applicants only: Hold a minimum 2.1 honours degree (or international equivalent) and be progressing to postgraduate study for the first time (no prior postgraduate qualification).
  • For undergraduate applicants: Meet the standard academic entry requirements; the scholarship applies to the first year, with continuation subject to successful progression.

  • Are you applying for a foundation programme, a Graduate Certificate International Pre-Masters, or similar preparatory courses (you may apply for the main degree after successful completion).
  • Receive any external funding/sponsorship.
  • Cannot pay the remaining fees or any additional course costs (e.g., field trips, materials).

Scholarships are awarded purely on the strength of your online scholarship application form, focusing on academic achievement and your potential to represent the university.
