The Learn Africa Scholarship Programme 2026, offered by the Women for Africa Foundation, is now open for applications. This initiative supports female African university students and graduates through training opportunities at Spanish universities and partner institutions.
Launched in 2013, the programme promotes knowledge transfer, capacity building, and empowerment for African women. For the 2026–2027 academic year, it offers more than 100 scholarships, including 28 continuity scholarships, across three training modalities: face-to-face, online, and blended (hybrid). This flexibility allows applicants to choose the format that best fits their personal circumstances.
Scholarship Benefits
Benefits vary by modality:
- Online scholarships: Cover only tuition and academic fees.
- Face-to-face scholarships: Cover tuition fees, return flight ticket to the student’s home country, accommodation and meals (via university residence or monthly allowance), and health insurance.
- Special Planeta scholarships (in institutions such as ESLSCA and EDUMED in Rabat): Cover tuition fees only. Beneficiaries must cover their own travel, accommodation, meals, insurance, and living expenses in Rabat.
- EADA Larsson-Torras scholarship: Covers 100% of the master’s tuition fees and provides free accommodation during the programme. Other costs (travel, insurance, maintenance, daily expenses) are not covered.
Important note: Scholarships do not cover visa fees, document legalisation/translation, internet connection for online studies, retakes of failed subjects, degree issuance, or personal expenses. Beneficiaries are advised to have some personal funds for unforeseen costs. The scholarship is for the individual only—no support is provided for accompanying family members.
